Did you know that you can make your own cream soda? Neither did I, until I read Ashley Rodriquez’s book Date Night In. The cool part is…it’s SO easy. It’s also delicious. After trying her recipe for homemade cream syrup, I decided to make a variation, strawberry cream soda.
This strawberry cream soda recipe is very refreshing. A little sweet, a little creamy and very bubbly. It’s the perfect treat to make for your friends and family. Kids will love it for it’s slightly pink hue and the strawberry garnish. For the grown-ups, you could add a little vodka and make it a lovely cocktail.
This recipe starts with a Strawberry Simple Syrup. I love making simple syrups and having them on hand for various drinks. Lately, I have gotten into making different flavors like ginger, vanilla and strawberry. The strawberry syrup is delicious in drinks and amazing on ice cream!
To make two rock sized glasses of Strawberry Cream Soda, fill the glasses with ice. Add a little strawberry simple syrup to each glass. Fill the rest with club soda and then top with a dab of heavy cream. Garnish with a strawberry and enjoy! If you want more details, check out the recipe below.
