New Year, New Goals: Make Small Changes
Happy New Year! I am kicking if this new year not by making resolutions, but rather by making small changes. More veggies, less processed foods. More fruits, less baked goods. More juices and teas, less soda and booze. So my shots this month, may just look more like these pretty juice shots than my normal cocktail shots.
It doesn’t mean that I am cutting out entire food groups or going tee-total, but it does mean that I am making small shifts toward just being more healthy. That might look different to you than it looks to me.
Some people like to be hardcore in January. It’s a huge month for the Whole 30. I did that last year and I really did enjoy it, but I found it really hard to modify once the month was over. I still find myself leaning toward Whole 30 recipes though because they are so tasty. Food just tastes better when it’s real food.

Natalie’s asked me to develop some juice shot recipes and I was super excited to do it. In each of these four different shots, you will get two ounces packed with antioxidants from real fruits and veggies. Because they are only two ounces, they are quick to drink (or shoot, if you choose). They also have fewer calories and sugar than a whole glass of juice.
What are the 4 Healthy Juice Shot Recipes?
First up, is a Pink Grapefruit and Greens Superfood Booster. Just like the name suggests it’s a blend of Grapefruit juice, fresh spinach or kale, lemon juice and celery with a touch of honey.
Next is, a Healthy Bloody Mary Immunity shot. This a booze-free jolt of Carrot, Tomato and Celery juice with orange juice, a pinch of dill and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Feel free to add a dash of your favorite hot sauce, too.
The third juice shot I named Orange Beet Refresh. I blended Natalie’s Orange Beet juice, the juice of a whole lemon, half of a green apple and some mint leaves.
The fourth and final juice shot is a Tropical Tangerine Cooler. I combined Tangerine juice, Coconut water, and fresh lime juice. Each of these recipes makes two shots, so share one with a friend or save it for later. I think you will find these little juice shots to be the perfect boost!

4 Juice Shot Recipes: The Healthy Shots Everyone Can Benefit From
Ingredients
Pink Grapefruit and Greens Superfood Booster
- 3 oz Natalie’s Grapefruit Juice
- 1 hand full of fresh spinach or kale
- 1 stalk of celery roughly chopped
- Juice of half a lemon
- 1 TBSP honey
Healthy Bloody Mary Immunity Shot
- 3 oz Natalie’s Carrot Tomato and Celery Juice
- 1 oz fresh orange juice
- Pinch of dill
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
Orange Beet Refresh
- 3 oz Natalie’s Orange Beet Juice
- Juice of one whole lemon
- ½ of an apple roughly diced
- 3-4 mint leaves
Tropical Tangerine Cooler
- 2 oz Natalie’s Tangerine Juice
- 1 oz Coconut Water
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
Instructions
Pink Grapefruit and Greens Superfood Booster
- To make 2 shots: In a blender, combine juice, spinach, celery lemon and honey. Blend well until very smooth. Divide between 2 small glasses.
Healthy Bloody Mary Immunity Shot
- To make 2 shots: In a blender, combine juice, lemon juice, apple, and mint leaves. Blend well until very smooth. Divide between 2 small glasses.
Orange Beet Refresh
- To make 2 shots: In a blender, combine juice, lemon juice, apple, and mint leaves. Blend well until very smooth. Divide between 2 small glasses.
Tropical Tangerine Cooler
- To make 2 shots: Combine juices, coconut water and lime juice. Stir well. Divide between 2 small glasses.
