My Recipe Cheat Sheets

by Kimbrough

I was making waffles this morning and had the thought that I should share this handy dandy tip! ! So here it is….

I keep a lot of my often used recipes on the inside of my cabinet. I call them my cheat sheets!

See, isn’t that life changing?

I know. I know. You are thinking, “Kim, there are apps for that.” Or, “Kim, I have a binder for all of those recipes.” Believe me, I have tried all that. I have a recipe app that I kind of like and I have a binder, too. But, when I decide at 6:00 am that I am going to make muffins, I hate to have to go searching through the binder for my recipe. Even worse, I hate to have to find the recipe on my phone/laptop/tablet. This is very, very old school, folks.

Having these little gems right on my cabinet door makes my life a little simpler. All of my baking supplies and spices are in this cabinet, so it’s so easy to refer to the recipes. And the recipes don’t get fingerprints or flour on them, unless things go awry while I’m mixing.

I have recipes for basic muffins, chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, oatmeal scotchies, Ranch dressing, taco seasoning, granola, a chicken rub and waffles. I need to add my recipe for pancakes, too.

Don’t let this fool you. I am NOT an organizational genius. Do not look for me to publish a best seller on organization. If you could see my desk right now…yeah. But, I am trying. This is one way I keep it sort of together. recipe organization. Tape often used recipes to the inside of cabinet. Another great thing about this trick, is when a friend calls and asks me share one of these recipes all I have to do is take a photo of it with my phone. Bam! There it is.
