Today is the day that our oldest son graduates from high school. I have truly never imagined this day or the emotions that I would feel. I always thought it was a long way off. Now, BAM! Here it is.
It’s very bittersweet. I am excited to see what happens next for him. He’s going into a really exciting time in his life. I know, because I was just there…um…20 something years ago.
I wish I had adequate words to express what this day means to us and to him, but I am at a loss. I am just going to enjoy the day with him and our little family. Also, I am going to enjoy the last few months we have until he goes to college. That’s when the reality will truly hit that he’s flying the nest. I can only hope that we have taught him well how to fly.
Congratulations and Good Luck, Son!
