Gin and Tonic Bar: Entertaining with Powell and Mahoney Craft Cocktail Mixers. This DIY gin and tonic bar is sure to be a hit with your guests.

Cocktail time is a happy time and nothing makes me happier than capping off my day with a sweet buffet of cocktail deliciousness. Take for instance this Gin and Tonic bar composed of your favorite gin, seasonal fruits and Powell and Mahoney’s Sparkling Tonics.

I just posted last week about how I have taken to the Gin and Tonic after years of avoiding it. All it took was for one person to make me a great Gin and Tonic and I was hooked. If you like the classic Gin and Tonic, then you are going to love this spin of a self-serve, one-stop drink station where your guests can customize their own G & T.

This is one of the easiest bars you will ever set up. The only thing to prep ahead is the fruit. I sliced kiwi, mango, pink grapefruit and limes. Then, I arranged them on a platter with some raspberries and pomegranate. If you are in a hurry, you can even find pre-sliced fruit at most grocery stores.

Round out your bar with plenty of ice, some great gin and these tasty Powell and Mahoney’s Sparkling Tonics, that come in two amazing flavors: regular Sparkling Tonic and Spiced Grapefruit Tonic. My favorite is the Spiced Grapefruit. It’s tangy and bitter with a hint of spice.

Don’t forget to provide your guests with some nice tall, glass tumblers. For a festive touch, add a fun garnish, such as a stirrer made from a rosemary branch or a colorful paper straw. It’s those simple touches that will leave your guests feeling special.

Who doesn’t like a self-serve bar? Your guests will enjoy being able to customize their beverage. They can go light on the gin and heavier on the tonic. They can add a ton of fruit, give it a muddle, pour in a generous amount of gin and top with a splash of tonic. There are so many great combos to make. When I make my Gin and Tonic, I add a squeeze of lime and then fill my glass with ice. Then, I add fresh pink grapefruit slices, 1 part gin and 2 parts Powell and Mahoney’s Spiced Grapefruit Tonic. I give it a tiny stir before I begin sipping away.

Even though autumn has officially arrived, it’s still warm here in south Georgia, so I know my guests will welcome a little oasis where they can prepare a cool drink.
