Our weather here in coastal Georgia has been so crazy this winter. One minute, I am bundled up craving soups and hot beverages. Then, the next day, I can wear flip flops and want light and fizzy cocktails.
I decided to make this Boozy White Hot Chocolate on a day that was sunny, but cold and blustery. It is the perfect warm up.
This hot chocolate cocktail is simple to put together. It has the taste of a gourmet recipe and comes together in minutes. You just add milk, white chocolate chips and vanilla vodka to a saucepan and heat it to a simmer. Done! I used whole milk, but you can substitute your favorite milk. If you aren’t in the mood for booze or you are making this for the kiddos, you can add a bit of vanilla extract instead of vanilla vodka.
I decided to get a little fancy by rimming my glasses with toasted marshmallow creme. To do this, I spread the marshmallow creme on the rims, then I used my little kitchen torch to toast it. You just have to be careful not to torch the glass. This little touch gives the drink a tasty little upgrade! You can also add marshmallows as a topping or just add a dusting of cocoa powder.
Boozy White Hot Chocolate is a great pick me up that can double as dessert. Give it a try!
