This week I have teamed up with Couleur Nature to style this simple and sweet winter brunch. Let’s face it, January can be a tough month. The highs of the holiday season are replaced by the weird calm and austerity of full-on winter. The trees are bare. Days are short. All of these things make me feel so sluggish and a little blue.
What are some ways you get through January? Do you clean and purge? Do you hibernate? Maybe you love winter and January is your month.
So, my fix for January is to plan something fun! Connecting with friends is one of the best ways to break out of the winter funk. ! Plan something like this super simple brunch party.
I didn’t cook a single thing here because I wanted ease. I had quite enough baking back in December. It was great to just go to the grocery and pick out some yummy treats.
Then, I pulled out some of my fun tableware accessories from Couleur Nature. I piled the marble paddle with doughnuts and English muffins. I got some delicious homemade jam for Christmas, so I added that to the table along with a bit of butter.
I put out yogurt and granola for friends to build their own parfaits. To make it fancy, I used these elegant champagne flutes. Fresh fruit provided the perfect dot of color.
I rounded out the table with soft, linen napkins, a bowl of ornaments and a couple of bright orange clementines.
The last touch was a tiny little bit of candlelight! I think you will agree that the scene is comforting, warm and inviting.
